Founded in 1995, Defense Solutions Group, Incorporated (DSGI) is a privately owned, U.S. Corporation that serves the Aerospace, Defense, Law Enforcement and Shooting Sports industries.
DSGI provides information products as well as manufactured goods under various DSG brand names. Additionally the company distributes other high end brands of weapons components, optics, body armor and tactical gear to government, wholesale and retail.
DSGI is a U.S. Government Registered Contractor, Licensed Federal Firearms Dealer, Special Occupational Taxpayer (SOT) under the National Firearms Act, and is registered with the U.S. Department of State’s Political Military Affairs Office as well as the U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security / U.S. Department of Commerce.
Information services development began in 1995 to allow the Aerospace and Defense industries an easily accessible method of researching inventory availability as well as current and historical data about aerospace and defense related component purchases used in support of Air Transportation and U.S. Defense capabilities.
The widening vailability of Internet access in the mid 1990's allowed DSGI the unique opportunity to research and develop online solutions for electronic commerce and database access. Years of experience with proprietary software and networks provided the foundation for DSGI's first projects.
These early development efforts earned DSGI a position as a Certified Value Added Network Provider for the U.S. Department of Defense as well as producing multiple subscription based information products that are still used by hundreds of organizations today.
Fueled by the American entrepreneurial spirit and lessons learned in previous conflicts, innovative designers at companies large and small were hard at work in the 1990's re-imagining the weapon systems and personal equipment that could increase the lethality and survivability of our fighting forces in future conflicts.
Future events had the potential to connect these largely unknown innovators with the personnel that could benefit from their efforts.
At the same time the World Wide Web and adoption of electronic payment processing was bringing transformative change in supplying our forces. New strategies for quick deployments of forces foretold demand for equally quick access to vital equipment. DSGI seized the opportunity.
Like so many; the events of September 11, 2001 forever changed DSGI's course. The company now found itself asking how it could best support its Nation and its Defense Industry as it mobilized for war.
Just prior to 9/11, DSGI was involved in research and development of what was to become one of its most successful information products. The development and release of this new system continued for a few months more, but new opportunities arose.
DSGI’s familiarity with current information technology coupled with in-house knowledge of the innovations made in weapons and equipment in the years prior to 9/11 allowed the company a seamless entry into direct military supply.
By 2005 DSGI had added its own brand of improved magazines for the M16 and M4 platform to a growing list of top shelf brands available for weapons components, accessories and soldier gear.
Also in 2005 DSGI was awarded its first 5 year contract with the U.S. General Services Administration for supply of weapons components and operational equipment. Today this contract is still active and has been expanded and renewed for additional terms.
Since its expansion into the weapons and operational gear market DSGI has successfully delivered thousands of government contracts and orders. Today DSGI continues its core mission of delivering the very best in brands and technology to the U.S. Military, but has also expanded its presence in Law Enforcement agency support as well as maintaining a large wholesale distribution network.
The Company's commitment to choosing the best equipment for our customers includes regular live fire training with subject matter professionals in military and law enforcement as well as test and evaluation of products at DSGI's and other range facilities around the Country.

Via DSG Arms, DSGI supports individual military and law enforcement personnel and the civilian shooting sports markets.
DSGI currently sponsors 3-Gun and Tactical Shooting Matches around the U.S. These efforts also include sponsorship of DSG Arms' own Shooting Team in addition to support of other professional, collegiate and amateur shooters and teams.
DSGI manufactures and sells products under the DSG Gear brand name. Holsters, belts, magazines, body armor, weapon components and more.
